Okay, so as promised, here are a few pictures of our house. We are still getting things organized, and they are a pretty big mess right now, so we will take more pictures later when everything looks a lot better. :)
We are the front unit in our little building. We have two units towards the back on each side, and one that is behind us and upstairs.
I chose not to add the pictures of the second bedroom because it is a disaster area. :) Okay, its not that bad, we just have a lot of boxes and things that we aren't sure what to do with yet.
And now onto the cookies that Joey was so excited to make while I was at work last night. When I walked in the door he had a slightly defeated look on his face, but the place smelled great! Let me just show you the pictures first before i explain.
I asked Joey what he changed about the recipe because he often likes to try to find new substitutes for ingredients that he thinks will be healthier options...which is great! But, he began by telling me that he followed the recipe perfectly and nothing was different. After a few more questions, he finally quietly said that he substituted oat flour for regular flour. I asked him where he found oat flour and he said that he just threw a bunch of oatmeal in the food processor and ground it up and used that as flour. He is quite the creative young man. Now, although the cookies may look a little strange, and not taste exactly like cookies, they are pretty good! They have a little bit of a toffee type feel and taste, but we have been slowly breaking pieces off and munching on them.
Now off to watch the end of the basketball game and quietly cheering for Orlando while all of our neighbors yell for the Lakers.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteThat's all.
Well, in that case I think the cookies qualify as breakfast food! Right?
ReplyDeleteI. Love. This. And I love Joey's ingenuity! Maybe you should look into inventing something! Keep blogging so I feel like I'm your neighbor!! (and not the crazy one...)
