Quick Update

Sorry for the lack in posts. We have been without internet for a while. Here is what we have been up to...
-The amazing Head Wedding!
-Houseguests: Ingrid and Scott (soon to be Cognato) for a weekend
and Mike for a few days.
-Trimming beards.
-Moving grandparents.
-Seeing family.
-Celebrating Lindsey's 25th birthday.
-Looking at places to live in Pasadena.
-Getting a haircut!
-Not getting a job :(...still working on that.
-As of today, Joey is very excited about work at his new office in Downtown LA.
-Living in a cloud of smoke (our house currently smells like we barbequed inside).
-I will put up a few pictures, dont have the camera with me.

Had such a good time at this beautiful wedding.

And this is the view that we had from the freeway driving back to our house to make sure it was okay. We are close to the bottom of those mountains, but dont think we are in any danger.

Looking forward to our weekend in Portland coming up celebrating Kristin and Benji's wedding!

He's a new man!

Yesterday we had a great little surprise and got to babysit our wonderful little nephew. We had a good time and maybe even spoiled him a little bit :)

Ice cream and Elmo!

So cute!

So...Joey has been talking a lot lately about trimming his beard and cutting his hair, and decided that tonight was the night! After receiving his first paycheck today from work we headed to BJ's for dinner to celebrate and then over to Target to get a good hair clipper/beard trimmer. Here are the before, during, and after pictures. He looks great! :)

Our "Relaxing" Weekend

So, we had decided to have a relaxing weekend after Joey's first long week at work. Our plan didnt really follow through, but it was a good weekend for sure!

Friday night we headed over to a Graduation Party at Lindsey's old house to help celebrate our friend Lindsey Webster getting her Masters! Woo woo! Good job Lindawg.

On Saturday we took care of some errands then made some food to head over to a "Southern Picnic" at our friend Andy's house in Pasadena. It was a great night seeing friends, participating in tug o war, and three legged races. :)

Sunday morning we got up and headed to church then off to Joey's Grandparent's in Fullerton for brunch and hanging out. Then got home and Kevin, Shannon, and Myles came over for our somewhat weekly family dinner. Because our air conditioning is broken right now, we went over the pool and enjoyed the water for a while. Then back home for dinner and playing and then snow cones for dessert!
We finally got the use the new snow cone machine that we got from our wedding (thanks amanda!).

And now, we finally got most of our house put together. It would be nice to do a little more decorating and hang some pictures and stuff on the wall, but we will now be moving sometime in the very near future, so we figured that we might as well wait until we are somewhere more permanent.

Crazy Neighbors

I wish that i had grabbed the camera a lot faster when I saw this, but I guess that I was just too amazed that it was actually happening.

Well, most of you know that we have a very interesting neighbor directly across the street from us, but we just discovered another!

I looked outside our family room window to see a woman backing her car across the grass very close to the house down the street.
Then, another woman proceeds to climb on top of the car and tries to boost herself up onto the roof. Because she is unable to do this, she has her friend hand her a folding chair. Not a sturdy metal one, but one of those flimsy white plastic chairs. She then puts the chair on the roof of the car and stands on it to get up to the roof.

Once up on the roof she opens the upstairs window, but cannot climb in, so she goes down to get that handy plastic chair, and sets it under the window on her very slanted roof.

At this point in time I was more watching to make sure she didn't fall off the roof and get hurt, but it was still quite entertaining. It took her a while to squeeze through the window, the she reached back out to grab the chair and bring it inside.

Im glad we don't have an upstairs to deal with right now if we lock our keys inside. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry, but I didnt feel like I could run out into the street to snap pictures of the process.
