Less than three days
Lindsey and I are both in Rocklin now getting ready for our big day. We have wrapped up wedding plans. Programs are done, phone calls and email reminders sent. I went and got a hair cut today, the list goes on and on. We are both very excited and have really been enjoying being here with Lindsey's family. More family comes tomorrow and then the partying begins. We fly out to Kauai on Monday morning and will be sure to update with fun pictures from the honeymoon when we are back. I am pretty sure this is the last blog entry we will post until we are back in California in early July.

Oatmeal flour?...
Okay, so as promised, here are a few pictures of our house. We are still getting things organized, and they are a pretty big mess right now, so we will take more pictures later when everything looks a lot better. :)
We are the front unit in our little building. We have two units towards the back on each side, and one that is behind us and upstairs.
I chose not to add the pictures of the second bedroom because it is a disaster area. :) Okay, its not that bad, we just have a lot of boxes and things that we aren't sure what to do with yet.
And now onto the cookies that Joey was so excited to make while I was at work last night. When I walked in the door he had a slightly defeated look on his face, but the place smelled great! Let me just show you the pictures first before i explain.
I asked Joey what he changed about the recipe because he often likes to try to find new substitutes for ingredients that he thinks will be healthier options...which is great! But, he began by telling me that he followed the recipe perfectly and nothing was different. After a few more questions, he finally quietly said that he substituted oat flour for regular flour. I asked him where he found oat flour and he said that he just threw a bunch of oatmeal in the food processor and ground it up and used that as flour. He is quite the creative young man. Now, although the cookies may look a little strange, and not taste exactly like cookies, they are pretty good! They have a little bit of a toffee type feel and taste, but we have been slowly breaking pieces off and munching on them.
Now off to watch the end of the basketball game and quietly cheering for Orlando while all of our neighbors yell for the Lakers.

Here we go!
We have been talking for a long time about starting a blog, so I finally sat down tonight and began the process (I am also procrastinating from finishing my portfolio).
Things the past few weeks have been very busy! Lets give you a quick overview of what happened...
Joey Graduated from APU in early May!
And, many pre-wedding festivities! (bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties)...sorry about the lack of pictures from the boys bachelor party.
Joey has loved his freedom without school. He has been reading through Harry Potter for the first time and loves it! I can find him sitting in our new chair (that he built!), reading most days when he gets off work....
Joey is currently working at APU with facilities management and works daily from 6:00am-2:30. He also has been enjoying his time with the Baloians and their many animals to keep him entertained.
I am finishing up my last week of student teaching! Woo woo! I cant wait for it to be done! I love my kids and the people that I have been working with, but I am looking forward to no longer having a full time job that i work for free. I continue to work with the Autism Response Team a few nights a week and am almost done with school. I have a big portfolio due with all of the work that I have done in my program over the past two years as well as many things I did during student teaching.
AND....most importantly....WE GET MARRIED IN ONLY 19 DAYS!!!!!!!
Thats all for now. Im off to work on my portfolio before I head to bed. Pictures of our new house (and Joey's first try at making cookies) to come tomorrow!
