5 months!!!!

Kayleigh turned 5 months old today!

We are loving watching this little girl grow and continue to be completely amazed by her.

Kayleigh's official 5 month stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 9 oz (90th percentile)
Height: 27 1/4 inches (95th percentile)

At 5 months Kayleigh...
-Sleeps in her crib on most nights, but still prefers cuddling with Mom or Dad!
-Has had "Hand Foot and Mouth Disease" and shared it with her Daddy :)
-Is sitting up on her own!!! Has had a few face-plants and still sometimes falls to one side or the other, but can often lift herself back up to a sitting position without any help!
-Is rolling around! This little girl loves to move! When we set her down in her little gym on the ground, and walk away for a minute, she either rolls over, or scoots her little body to the other side of the gym. And she is so proud of herself for doing it!
-Loves eating her toes and holding her feet up to her mouth.
-Puts anything she possibly can into her mouth.
-Reaches for people or things that she wants.
-Has been on 4 flights.
-Loves her Jumperoo.
-Has the sweetest laugh I have every heard, and has a hilarious laugh when she is incredibly tired.
-Makes eye contact and then gives the best smiles!
-Loves to read. Current favorite books: "Brown Bear Brown Bear" and "Going to Grandma's house."
-Loves bath time.
-Smacks her lips while watching anyone else eat (starting foods soon!).
-Recognizes her name and looks towards whoever is calling for her.
-Continues to grow and change daily.

We LOVE our little Kayleigh more than ever and I know that our love for her will only continue to grow as she does.

Can't believe she is already 2!!! We had a great time celebrating and spending the weekend together.
Here are a few moments that I captured, and a few borrowed from Audrey (Thanks!).

4 Months!

Our sweet little Kayleigh turned 4 months old last weeekend!

Here are here 4 month picture updates.

Kayleigh's official 4 month stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 4 oz (still in the 90th percentile)
Height: 26 1/2 inches (Above the 95th percentile)

At 4 months Kayleigh...
-Decided that sleeping is for babies...and that she is now a big girl. She has been waking up more often during the night, but we are trying to enjoy those wonderful cuddles!
-Has the sweetest little laugh.
-Sticks that bottom lip out to get whatever she wants.
-Is a "water faucet baby" according to Ginny (daycare provider/grandma extraordinaire)- she definitely knows what she wants and turns on the tears until she has it!
-Loves standing on our laps.
-Is very strong! Great at holding up her own head and is working hard at sitting up.
-Has starting rolling partway over.
-Gives the best smiles in the entire world.
-Loves bath time...especially when Mom gets in and joins her :).
-Loves playing in the jumperoo.
-Is starting to grab her feet.
-Is still working on sucking her thumb.
-Continues to amaze us and makes us fall more in love with her each day!

Weekend Wonderfulness

We had a great weekend! Enjoyed getting out in the great weather that we had, and had a few firsts for little Kayleigh! The weekends seem to fly by so quickly, but we are SO thankful that Kayleigh has an amazing place to spend her time during the week while Mom and Dad are at work (Thanks Ginny)!

Here is a look at our weekend...

A friday evening pizza picnic in the park.

Cuddles in bed with Mom and Dad on Saturday morning.

Saturday morning walk to Peets and Einstein's for coffee and breakfast and a long walk.

Relaxing in the afternoon at home.

The Oinkster in Eagle Rock for dinner.

Kayleigh wanted a bite of Joey's sandwich so bad! Spent the meal smacking her lips and longingly watching her Dad eat his entire meal.

A nice walk around the Rose Bowl to finish off the evening.

Had a relaxing Sunday morning.

And then headed to Eaton Canyon for a few hours with the Higerd girls.

Yes, that is a large snake wrapped around the tree. Mari took this picture, there was NO way that I was getting that close to this thing!!

And here are the lovely frogs who decided my foot was a good place to sit. They were immediately kicked off! (Sorry to Mari and Gabe for making Grace scared of frogs and the creek due to my complete overreaction of the frog situation).

Joey and the girls checking out the "piggyback frogs."

Family picture.

We love this family (Missed you Gabe!).

After our day at Eaton Canyon, we stopped at a little ice cream shop for some chocolate sorbet (me) and lavender honey ice cream (Joey). Yum.

So thankful for such a great weekend with our little family!

Dublin Round 2

Here is the second part of our time in Dublin!

Kayleigh had a great time hanging out with Max!

She thought it was pretty funny to sit on him before bath time :)

Loves her Auntie Jo!

Big stretches after eating.

Happy girl on Easter morning!

Spotted her Easter Basket while she was getting ready for church.

Family Easter picture!

Had fun hanging out with Grandma at church.

Sweet Easter baby with her first Easter basket!

Had such a good time with Grandma and Grandpa Olsen!

Taking a little break on the way home. Had to get behind the wheel and check it out.

We were so thankful for this chance to get away and spend some extended time with our families. Hoping to do it again sometime soon!
