Richland

Last weekend Joey and I met my Mom and Dad up in Richland, WA to spend the weekend checking out where my Dad spends some of his time.

Sadly, he got pretty sick when we got there, so we had to settle for large pictures of him while we enjoy our games of dominos and airborne.

On Saturday, Dad was feeling better so we drove to Walla Walla.

Cute husband!

The downtown area

Amazing food at the french restaurant my dad loves.

Duck Pizza

We enjoyed the races that were going on while we were in town.

The fam walking through Whitman College.

Watching the races.

Had a good view and stayed warm.

Here is a video my dad took of the racers as they flew past us.

Thanks for a good weekend Mom and Dad!

Quick trip

This past weekend we made a quick trip up to the Bay area to celebrate Jim's birthday.

We were able to enjoy a morning with the wonderful Cognatos. Love these two...

Headed out to McCovey's for Jim's birthday dinner.

And thankfully we were able to stop by and spend some time with sweet little Ruby on our way back down south.

How cute is she?

Had a great weekend relaxing and enjoying our time with the family.

And finally, here is a sweet little video for you...

Enjoy!

The Sand Man

So I have this sweet little 1st grader who I see twice a week first thing in the morning and she is always keeping me entertained!

She daily talks about "The Sand Man," coming to her house...
I finally asked her what she was talking about and she explained that the Sand Man comes to her house while she is sleeping and puts sand in her eyes, so when she wakes up every morning she has sand in the corner of her eyes. Sometimes she forgets to get it out until she comes to school :)

This same student sometimes walks away in the middle of an activity towards the playground area. When I call her name and remind her we are still doing PE, she tells me that sometimes her body just takes her somewhere and there is nothing she can do about it.

And finally, this sweet little girl dressed up for Dr. Seuss Day a few weeks ago...
As Scooby Doo.

I didn't ask questions...just enjoyed it :)

Although we did have to stop playing with the jump rope (her favorite) because her tail kept getting in the way.

Just a little bit of my day!

RUBYLAND

Joey and I were lucky enough to spend a weekend in Rubyland a few weeks ago. It was pretty wonderful.

We felt a lot like this...

We got the chance to go watch Josh play rugby (mostly from the car in the rain:) )

What a sweet little face

And we each got our cuddle time in!

Had a great dinner with some pretty wonderful people.

Audrey and I became crafty for a day and made some cute little leggings for the sweet little Ruby

We are so thankful to have such good friends.

What a sweet little family they are.

Already anxious to get back up there again!

Valentine's day getaway

We spent our Valentine's Day getaway weekend in San Diego and had an amazing time!

On Friday, we stopped at my family's favorite mexican restaurant (Nati's) in Ocean Beach and had a great lunch.

The beautiful view from our room at the Hyatt right on the water.

We spent the evening watching the sunset at the great bar on the 40th floor of our hotel.

Enjoying our drinks while watching the sun disappear

We enjoyed Saturday right outside our hotel watching the air show on the water.

I was too distracted watching everything to actually get many pictures of the planes going by, but got this awesome picture of the Sun. "It really is a star!!"

Blue Angels opening up the air show

We met up with Dan on Saturday, and he took us to his office at SDSU. So professional.

The boys in Dan's office

Joey thought he ordered a regular sized margarita :)

Great food + Margaritas + Wonderful friends = a great end to our weekend away.

Its hard to think about going back to work tomorrow, but thankfully its a short week and then we get to head up north to see this sweet little face...

And spend the weekend with her parents of course.  Cant wait!!!
