Valentine's day getaway

We spent our Valentine's Day getaway weekend in San Diego and had an amazing time! 

On Friday, we stopped at my family's favorite mexican restaurant (Nati's) in Ocean Beach and had a great lunch.

We spent the evening watching the sunset at the great bar on the 40th floor of our hotel.

We enjoyed Saturday right outside our hotel watching the air show on the water. 

 I was too distracted watching everything to actually get many pictures of the planes going by, but got this awesome picture of the Sun. "It really is a star!!"

 We met up with Dan on Saturday, and he took us to his office at SDSU. So professional.

Great food + Margaritas + Wonderful friends = a great end to our weekend away. 

Its hard to think about going back to work tomorrow, but thankfully its a short week and then we get to head up north to see this sweet little face...

And spend the weekend with her parents of course.  Cant wait!!!

Joey was excited to make his family's favorite appetizer for the super bowl party on Sunday.

This weekend we got to celebrate Grandma Olivier's 88th Birthday with Joey's family!

It was great to be able to celebrate this amazing woman with the entire family. Happy Birthday Grandma!

We have also be enjoying our disneyland passes once again. After taking a three year break from passes we decided we were ready again. And thankfully we have great friends to enjoy it with!

My old high school teachers are pretty wonderful. What other high school teachers would spend their spare time learning a dance to participate in a flash mob during break to entertain their kids?

Finally!

We MOVED!!!  ...about 20 ft. from our old apartment to our new place.

Other than the move and organizing... 

We had a great time at the Warriors game with Joanna in the beginning of January.

We had a great day spent with some good friends from out of town.

And a wonderful day hiking in the canyon right near our house on an 85 degree day with the Bradshaws, who recently moved here. We love having them here!

Looking forward to another Warriors game this weekend and an Iron and Wine concert next week. 

Busy Month for us!

Soaking it up

I am trying to relax as much as I can as I soak up my last three days of Christmas vacation. Before break started I was bummed that I had to work on the 23rd, but now I am stoked! Good choice Pasadena School District! 

Christmas and New Years were great! We had a great time in Grants Pass, OR with my extended family and then had a wonderful week with my family back in Rocklin.

 Myles was pretty excited that he got Lips and Lotion in his stocking!

We went to the Folsom zoo on Christmas eve day.

 New Years Day we had good friends over for the day to celebrate. The Baker/Hays girls have been friends for over 20 years now. Its always good to be back together again!

 The Dunlops came up on New Years day to join the  party and stayed the night in Rocklin with us. We just love that Ruby girl. 

Off to relax again!!
