The rest of our time in Dublin

Max and I became even better friends on the way home from his visit to the vet.

He needed a resting place for his tongue and thought my leg would be perfect! 

The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with the family (we are awful at remembering to take pictures) and seeing friends. 

We got to stop by and see Maddie's new classroom on the day before her kids came for the first day of school! 

Those kids of hers are pretty lucky.

And, it was back to school for me this week as well! We started work last Monday and our kids started on Wednesday. Other than being completely exhausted after a day of teaching and gradually watching my feet/ankles swell throughout the day, it seems to be going well so far! 

Thankful for our 3 day weekend and the relaxing and sleeping in that was much needed. 

Birthday and vacation bliss

Birthday celebrations began on Thursday night with family dinner at the Lewis house. Because I had made Myles' birthday cake, he made mine...and of course helped me blow out the candles. 

So sweet! 

On friday my amazing husband took the day off work so that he could spend my birthday with me. 

It was a wonderful day...sleeping in, a late and leisurely breakfast, seeing Bridesmaids, a little shopping, and dinner with the Williams at my favorite little french restaurant in Pasadena. 

The best birthday breakfast company ever! 

On Saturday I hopped on a plane to fly up and spend 4 days with my Mom. Love you Mom- thanks for a great start to my vacation!

While I were there, Mom showed me pictures of how HUGE I was when I was born. Check this out...

It's starting to make a little more sense to me why I am feeling so large!

Joey picked me up on Wednesday and drove us over to Dublin for the rest of the week and weekend! Looking forward to our relaxing vacation to continue!

A look into the future

The Dunlop family spent the last weekend here in Pasadena with us and it was absolutely glorious! 

Food truck dinners, picnic at the park, naps, movies, playing Lord of the Rings card game (its obvious who enjoyed this activity- at the same the others enjoyed a movie), pedicures, making a family dinner together at home, Starbucks runs to look for Josh Lyman, a Peets and bagel breakfast enjoying the beautiful morning weather, lounging on the couch, building forts, and spending quality time with our amazing friends and beautiful goddaughter. 

Can't wait till we live close and this is a not so much a monthly thing, but a weekly thing!!

Shower time!

For these two...

Last weekend my Mom came into town to help us throw a Shower/Baby celebration for Shannon and Kevin. 

Because I am currently unable to do much, Mom and Joey had A LOT to do this weekend (thank you, thank you, thank you)!

It's a... (round two)

GIRL!!!!!

There was no way that I was going to wait two more months to find out. On Friday we went to an ultrasound center to have a gender determination ultrasound, and little baby GIRL Olsen was cooperating this time. 

(sorry for the bad picture quality. I took a picture of the ultrasound picture...scanner isn't working right)

SO happy to know what our sweet little Christmas present will be!

It's a....

Mystery. 

Little Baby Olsen was being a little difficult today and had its feet in/by its mouth, refusing to show us what it is!

We were SO excited to find out what we are having, but that will have to wait. Possibly for 2 whole months!!!! I am planning on trying to convince the doctor that another ultrasound is needed before then, but we will see.

And, I am currently researching outside options to get myself another ultrasound sometime soon :)
