It's true!!!

Here we go!!! 

 We are starting this crazy journey of becoming parents for the first time.

Little Baby Olsen's due date is December 22nd, 2011! 

Birthday Boy!

Last weekend we had a great time celebrating Myles 3rd birthday!

We are lucky to have such a sweet little nephew, and are thankful to have lived so close to him for the first three years of his life!

My Mom and I were in charge of making Myles birthday cake again this year. This time he requested a dump truck cake, but it needed to be pink, so we had to get creative. 

Happy birthday sweet little boy. We love you! 

The sky is falling!

ON ME!

On friday (the 13th), my students couldn't stop talking about it. I laughed and told them we had nothing to worry about, but maybe I should have listened to them...

My Mom and i took little Myles to the park just down the street from my house on Friday afternoon, and as we were walking along the sidewalk we were suddenly hit. 

My glasses flew off my face and broke, we were covered in dirt, i thought my face was bleeding, and had a really sharp pain in my shoulder. Thankfully Mom and Myles were both fine, just shocked.

 Once I figured out we were all okay (kind of), I realized that one of my biggest fears living in Pasadena had come true! 

We had been hit by a large palm tree branch that fell from a 50-60 ft tree above us!

The heavy end of the branch hit me first on the shoulder...I am currently still in a sling and unable to move my arm without pain. Hoping its just a bad bruise, but heading to the doc tomorrow to make sure.  

Here is a picture of the awful thing that got me (mom went back later to pick it up and bring it home). 

On a better note, Myles 3rd birthday party was super fun! 

Will post pictures later, typing with one hand is hard. 

*UPDATE: Went to the doctor today, thinks I may have torn something in my shoulder. Referred me to an orthopedic surgeon, and is requiring me to take 2 days off work to rest and see if it heals at all. 

Birthday girl!

Happy 1st birthday to Ruby! Thanks for letting us come spend the weekend with you to celebrate! We love you lots!

We are in the middle of birthday celebrations for some of the sweet little people in our lives. Looking forward to celebrating Myles turning 3 this weekend! 

Dedication

We were lucky to be up north for Ruby's dedication last weekend. It was a good weekend to start celebrating this sweet little girl. 

Happy first birthday Ruby! Cant wait to sing to you in person tomorrow!!!! 

Richland

Last weekend Joey and I met my Mom and Dad up in Richland, WA to spend the weekend checking out where my Dad spends some of his time. 

Sadly, he got pretty sick when we got there, so we had to settle for large pictures of him while we enjoy our games of dominos and airborne. 

On Saturday, Dad was feeling better so we drove to Walla Walla.

A boy and his uncle

This little boy loves his Uncle. 

I still get a little love too, but Myles sure does love his Uncle (who wouldnt?).

Cant wait for the next little niece/nephew for us to love and spoil to arrive in the fall!! :)
